NUMUS Emerging Curators Series

“The Divine Feminine: A Woman’s Love through Life and Loss” aims to tell the stories of women, historical, folkloric, and universal (Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Helen Creighton, Penelope of the Iliad, the mythical Sirens) and their capacities for love – love for their children, their partners, their work, a lost loved one, and/or themselves/each other. Through a programme dedicated exclusively to the works of Canadian women composers, the artists and the audience will consider how love has led to the most passionate moments of the character’s lives, for better or for worse.
