– One of Rossini’s most memorable and exciting opera overtures, The Thieving Magpie opens with an aggressive and militaristic theme followed by the drama and intrigue surrounding the theft of a silver spoon.
– This year’s Musica Nova composer is Vivian Fung, an award-winning composer with a unique talent for combining idiosyncratic textures and styles into large-scale works, reflecting her multicultural background. Her new Trumpet Concerto features Classical Trumpeter and Gold Medal Global Music Award-Winner Mary Elizabeth Bowden.
– Vivaldi’s Gloria is one of sacred music’s most uplifting choral works – a piece of high drama and hidden performers. We are thrilled to be joined by Concert Choirs from Bartlett, Dimond, South, and West High Schools.
